Beginners Guide to Fusion 360 19th April 7pm – 8.30pm (GMT) Supply

In this fast paced session we ll go through some of the basics so you feel more confident with using the fantastsic CAD package that is Fusion 360.

We will take a minute at the start to go over how to give Fusion access to whole classes.

I ll share a great project idea that lends itself to CAD and 3D printing – lesson resource worksheets will also be provided.

This is what we ll cover:

• How to produce 2D shapes and extrude them
• Add fillets and chamfers to 3D forms
• Adding holes and shelling
• How to draw a phone holder
• How to draw a speaker holder for an MP3 player
• How to render an image
• How to produce an orthographic drawing
• How to save the file so it can be 3D printed

• The session is delivered live using Microsoft Teams and is also recorded.  You ll get a link to watch the session back again.

  I would recommend having two devices for the session, E.g. a laptop or PC with Fusion installed and ready to use, alongside a second device to watch the session on.  If you only have one device, just watch the session live, then play it back as you sketch along on Fusion.
